My experience with special needs children...
I have been working with children with special needs since I was 12 years old, supporting a wide range of developmental and learning challenges, including autism spectrum disorder (ASD), cerebral palsy, speech and language delays, and learning disabilities such as reading disorders. Since age 13, I have also been involved with Best Buddies, fostering inclusive friendships and social opportunities for individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities. My experience includes hands-on childcare, academic tutoring, assisting with speech therapy goals, and providing intensive language support for preschoolers with moderate to severe language impairments. I’m skilled in designing developmentally appropriate activities and individualized plans to help children thrive socially, academically, and communicatively.
