Hi there! My name is Nora (I no longer use my legal name shown). I am 23, a part-time student, and entering the nannying field with professional experience working in middle school special education. I'm very comfortable working with various disabilities, and connect easily with neurodivergent children. I am CPR and First Aid certified. Your child's safety and happiness are my highest priority!

I love music, art, animals, and spending time in nature. It's very important to me that kids are engaged with their interests and hobbies and I will do whatever I can to facilitate that! I'm no Michelin-star chef, but I can do some light meal prep if needed. I also have professional experience as a baker/decorator which I would be happy to put to use.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

For the last school year, I have worked as an MBA (Medical/Behavioral Assistant) in special education for both a moderate support needs and an intensive support needs classroom. I've gained valuable experience in behavior support and assisting students with other needs like toileting, diaper changes, feeding, communication, and fine motor activities.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love enriching kids with their own interests, inspiring their natural curiosity outdoors, or doing creative activities to inspire their inner artist. I also love to foster good stewardship of our natural world by spending time outside in parks and beaches.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Showing the children you care about them! I believe in providing an authoritative but caring approach and meeting kids where they are at, and really showing interest in what they care about and need. I believe in the importance of mutual respect.

I have worked with students with Down syndrome, Autism Spectrum Disorder, varying intellectual disabilites, difficulties with walking and fine motor skills, speech/language difficulties, and some significantly disruptive behaviors.
