Hello! My name is Norma Diaz. A little about me... I love teaching and tutoring, I enjoy doing arts and crafts as well as science experiments and being active like playing several outdoor games. I enjoy baking and creating yummy treats for my students. Aside from doinf fun and awesome things I also enjoy reading and watching documentaries. I have worked for LAUSD for nearly 6 years now as a preschool assistant and later as a special education paraprofessional. Aside from working on school settings, I have also worked as a tutor, and as a babysitter/nanny over summer and winter breaks. I am such a kind, patient and understanding individual, I enjoy helping others tremendously and I am very determined and hard worker. I don't quit easily and when in doubt I always as questions or communicate my concerns with the parents or adults.

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a preschool teacher at Montessori, daycares, and learning ed centers. Aside from that I also babysat/nanny for families during the summer and winter breaks.

I enjoy doing arts and crafts as well as science experiments and baking. Aside from that I also enjoy being active and playing outside like basketball, or soccer or even football.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I believe the most important part about being a nanny is the fact that you are essentially an integral part of the child's life, as well as the family. Both child and family will depend on you greatly and it is your duty as a nanny to be reliable, loyal, responsible, safe and honest with the family whom you're working with.

My experience with special needs children...

I was actually a paraprofessional for LAUSD for about 2 years working closely with children who had special physical and mental disabilities.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was when I took care of a little girl, she was about 4 years old and we often would love to play princess dress up and so we would dress up and pretend to be Disney princesses who were late to the ball :)
