Hello my name is Olivia Martinez I am 23 years old and I love working with children. I am going to school to become a kindergarten teacher at the moment. As for my employment I am currently a summer camp counselor for the YMCA and during the school year I work for the YMCA after school care program at local schools. I am looking for an as needed position. I also have past experience as a nanny for an infant to a family who employed me off of nannylane for about 6 months. At my work I enjoy being active and playing sports like tag or soccer with my students and making any kind of art projects like making slime or painting collages. I am great with any pets and I am able to do any housework if necessary. I am also cpr and basic life support trained and certified and can provide proof upon request. More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a nanny about a year ago now to a 3 month old infant up until she was 9 months old. I have also worked with children ages 4 to 13 at a YMCA of metropolitan Chicago for about a year now. I have also helped a close friend care for a younger sibling from age 1 to 5 during the school year providing rides home from school and preparing meals.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to make art and have many ideas for arts and crafts projects to create with children. I enjoy being active and exercising at least 3 times weekly so I will be able to keep up with active children.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Keeping the child safe, happy, and taken care of is what I believe is most important in nannying. I also believe having a fun enjoyable experience for the child/ren is very important. I want all my clients to be comfortable and for their children to see me as a safe caring person.

My experience with special needs children...

I have never worked with special needs children but I would be more than willing to.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I’ve only just started nannying within the last month with a 3 month old baby. I’d have to say my favorite moments are when we’re able to relax and watch tv together or when I can play with her and teach her to make silly faces at me.
