Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
have spent several years working in Special Education classrooms as a paraeducator. I have also spent the last few summers working at a summer camp. These experiences helped me to realize that I am passionate about helping children grow up to be the best versions of themselves! I also have a beautiful nephew and niece, both are below the age of 2. I spent the first month or so after my niece was born being a sort of unpaid nanny for my sister. That experience was what made me want to be a nanny full time!

I have worked with a lot of different children with disabilities. I have worked at a summer camp that was only for adults and children with disabilities. I have also worked in 3 different special education classrooms.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment was when the little boy I was nannying for went out of his way to cover the floor in cheerios. Instead of yelling or cleaning it up while he went off and played, I used it as an opportunity to teach him how to take accountability for his actions . We had a talk about it and then we cleaned up the mess as a team.
