I am a very creative person. I love drawing, writing, arts and crafts, baking, and so much more so I try and implement all of that while caring for children to make our day fun and to make learning easier.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Patience and love. Without those two, I feel that you cannot properly care for children. Children are always active and need someone who is patient as well as someone who knows how to discipline which I possess both qualities. Without love, one cannot truly connect with a child.
My experience with special needs children...
I have cared for children with ADHD as well as autism (high and low functioning).
The most important part about being a nanny...
I have too many to decide. Seeing the children I nannied grow up and become independent has always made me proud. Watching them smile for the first time or hold their head up for a few split seconds makes my heart melt. Watching those ready for school walk into the building on the first day is always a great sight to see and I also love connecting with the older children as if we are siblings.
