Hi! I'm Paula Sanchez, and I am 19 years old. In the future, I hope to earn my LCSW (Licensed Counselor in Social Work) to be an advocate for children who need it and work with them through counseling. I've always loved kids. In middle school, I started by taking care of the Pre-K and Kindergarten children during our off time. In my four years of high school, I tutored and taught children and created activities for them. Currently, when I have no class during the weekdays, I spend my time going with my cousin, a special education teacher, and helping her with her children who are being taught life skills. Currently, I am working in STEAMspirations at Lamar Elementary in the afterschool care program. Here, I serve food, make sure the children maintain clean hands and activity areas, assist with homework, provide a daily activity, and allow for supervised play time. I als keep record of students arrival, departure, and authorized pick-up person.
