More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have gained valuable experience caring for children in different settings that have helped me develop strong childcare skills. I have provided care as a nanny and for family friends, where I was responsible for preparing meals, helping with homework, organizing playtime, and maintaining daily routines. I have also cared for children of different ages, which has taught me how to adapt to their individual needs, from keeping toddlers engaged with creative activities to supporting older children with schoolwork and responsibilities. Through these experiences, I’ve learned the importance of patience, safety, and consistency, as well as how rewarding it is to create a positive and nurturing environment for children.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy doing a variety of activities with children that help them learn, grow, and have fun. I like reading books and telling stories to spark their imagination and build early literacy skills. Arts and crafts are another favorite because they allow children to express creativity while developing fine motor skills. I also enjoy playing outside, whether it’s going for walks, playing at the park, or organizing simple games that keep them active and engaged. Indoor activities like puzzles, building blocks, and educational games are great for encouraging problem-solving and teamwork. Overall, I enjoy balancing fun with learning, making sure children are both entertained and supported in their development.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, nurturing, and supportive environment where children can grow and thrive. A nanny plays a vital role in a child’s daily life, so it is essential to ensure their physical safety while also fostering their emotional well-being. Building trust with both the children and their parents allows for a strong relationship that helps the child feel secure and cared for. Beyond safety, a nanny encourages growth by supporting learning, creativity, and healthy development through engaging activities and consistent routines. Being reliable, patient, and a positive role model ensures that children not only feel loved and supported but are also guided toward becoming confident and independent individuals.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite nanny moments was being there when a toddler I cared for said their first word. We had been practicing simple words together during playtime, and one day, out of nowhere, they clearly said “ball.” Their excitement and pride lit up the whole room, and it was so special to share that milestone with them. It reminded me how important patience and consistency are when helping children learn.
