A little bit about me

Hi! Im Peyton, I am a first time mom as of September 2025 to a beautiful little boy, and have been staying home with him, soaking in all of the precious little moments. I now am looking for a nanny job, but I would have to bring my son with me due to not having anyone to watch him, and childcare being too expensive for me at this time. I have a Bachelors degree in Psychology, and a Masters degree in Law Enforcement and Justice Administration. My most recent job was a habilitation specialist with a company who contracts with DCFS, so I was around children in the system for 3 years and loved being the person who those kids saw as their safe space. I have always wanted to be a mom of my own, and help other children, which I have done since I graduated high school. I nannied a young girl from 8 years old until she was 18, being with the same family for such a long time really helped me gain confidence in child development, and it also allowed me to realize this is truly what I want to do.

I have done plenty of volunteer work with children, my most impressive volunteering job was at the University of Iowa Children's hospital on the maternity floor.
I also volunteered at "Feed My Starving Children".

Educational activities, crafts, anything outdoors, musical instruments, puzzles, games, and anything interactive for the child.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Making sure the children whom I nanny for know that I am a safe and loving person who they feel excited for when they know I am coming over, but most of all feel safe and comfortable while I am in their space.

My experience with special needs children...

I have cared for and supervised children who have been on the spectrum, ranging from sensory issues to nonverbal children. I also have supervised and worked with children who have endured all sorts of abuse and are in the foster care system.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was watching the little girl I once nannied for grow into such a beautiful woman when she turned 18. It was an honor to be apart of every milestone in her life ranging from losing teeth, starting high school, etc. To watch someone whom you have helped take care of for 10 years is rewarding in every way possible.
