Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Depends on their age. But they live to play at any age. Too much TV is toxic. They need to learn autonomy and learning in reality, not in a screen. Your child needs to know how special their time is too, and how much joy they are to just have time with it. No child should be left unattended. They are curious and at any moment something could be dangerous. That's why any one caring for any age child should have a calm alertness. Also, no yelling. They are tiny and you are big. They need to know they feel safe coming to you for any reason. With your baby, there are several interactive tummy time play mats. I honestly can go crazy in the baby shopping aisles. I'm sure since my children were babies who knows? I had some pretty great choices....all over the place...lol
The most important part about being a nanny...
I want too make myself proud, babies feeling safe and happy, Mom and Dad secure in peace of mind. I know how much you love them. If you were anything like me, I never felt peace. I could never relax, because it wasn't me. Who could possibly do better than me. I hated it. I don't ever want a parent to feel that way. All the stress I felt in an already stressful day waiting tables myself. But I didn't have a nanny, It was daycare. I knew the staff was unable to give the proper care to the importance of what they are supposed to be doing. It was my feelings of not enough teachers to child ratio. No feeling important. Each child, didnt look happy. Not being heard, it bothered me. I luckily quit my job, grabbed my kids and we all took care of Nanny together. Best days together. She needed that love with her great grand babies. Win wins for us all. Too often and unfortunately all caregivers and teachers are over worked, underpaid and unappreciated. Its a shame.
My experience with special needs children...
Every child has special needs. One needs to color, one needs a snack..another needs your attattention please. Another just an extra step. I need parents expectations of me. That's how I see it. We must hope that children not fear that others have differences, otherwise they miss out on critical thinking, open-mindedness and abilities to navigate through life with curiosity of cultures and the world. It gives them so much more trust in their abilities and for adventure. How they carry themselves in this world, how they succeed in this world, how they understand this world, how they socialize, how they grow in this world. They need to have fun and love life. (because they do!!) That's an important message to teach your children. Otherwise they may remain in a bubble. This lesson I taught to my kids. Its made them very independent and unafraid and each unique. It opened up their minds and they trust in themselves, they remain very close to each other. Each VERY different..lol
The most important part about being a nanny...
Hands down, roughe toddlers who escaped their teacher, playing a balloon popping game. It was so hilarious. I came out to watch. Me and everyone was cracking up. She couldn't do it, she was out of breath. I had to radio the owner to come back and help her. I'll never forget that panicked red face and lack of breath. They are busy bees let me tell you. Very active, hated nap time. I sometimes would go during beak. Wow. Pat on the back hopping swishing always a last one standing. It took like 15 20 min felt more like an hour! Lol. A teacher would come tag me because I was good at it and it drove her crazy!...lol

Babysitter Available in Spring, TX: Rian T.
I'm a 20 year old college student looking to find a job that allows me to care for children. I was a violin teacher for a year at an elementary school where I taught children from 3rd to 5th grade. I thoroughly enjoyed the experience of being a safe space for my students and teaching them about new things. I'm hoping I will be able to show these children the love I was able to show my students as I gain more experience in this field.
