I am very flexible as to what the children want to do. Sometimes I understand that they come home from school and are overstimulated, they just need some time to unwind from the day.
There are also the days where we explore the neighborhood on walks, try a new recipe, arts and crafts, movie and snack day, and overall I enjoy teaching life skills. Children love to be involved and included, so them participating in folding laundry, putting dishes up, small chores adequate to age, gives them importance and teaching of a new independent skill.
