A little bit about me

Hi families!
I am currently a student at Portland State University, where I am majoring in Elementary Education. I have a strong passion for working with kids and a knack for it, too. Nothing is better than watching a kid grow into a better version of themselves and knowing that you helped.
Growing up as the oldest of five, I quickly gained a lot of babysitting experience. During high school, I began babysitting for other families, volunteering at summer camps, and helping out with various youth sports events. I have one year of professional experience with Care.com here in Portland.

Sky M. - Seeking Work in Portland

Babysitter Available in Portland, OR: Sky M.

Hi! I'm a 26 year old artist and experienced child care provider.

I have spent 10+ years working with families as their sitter/nanny, in overnight camps, in day camps, and with after school programs. Working with kids and giving the next generation a sturdy, supportive foundation is one of my passions and greatest joys.

I prioritize families who have LGBTQIA+ or neurodivergent members because I have lived experience in these areas and can empathetically relate. I also know it can be hard for these families to find child care providers, and all kids deserve excellent caretakers. I identify as nonbinary and have ADHD & ASD (think Amelia Bedelia-- she was a hard worker but just needed clear communication)!

I prefer meeting families and doing a working interview before agreeing to any long-term arrangement! Thank you for your time, and I hope you're having a great day.

Marissa M. - Seeking Work in Portland

Live-In Part-Time Nanny Available in Portland, OR: Marissa M.

Since age 18, I’ve provided childcare for kids ages 2-14, leading crafts, music, and yoga, and handling overnight care for up to five children, bedtime included. Most recently, I’ve worked as a Montessori guide and substitute teacher for children 0-6. I also cook and keep households running smoothly. Caregiving comes naturally to me, and I’m lit up by supporting each child’s growth and getting to know what makes them tick.

Hi! I'm someone who has always loved working with kids and helping them learn, grow, and explore the world around them. I'm a patient, caring, and empathetic person who loves making kids feel safe, comfortable, and understood. I enjoy getting creative, playing games, doing fun activities, and finding little ways to make each day special. I love being someone kids can feel comfortable around, and I'd be so excited to become a trusted part of your family's life!
Jamesyn H. - Seeking Work in Portland

Live-In Part-Time Nanny Available in Portland, OR: Jamesyn H.

Hi families! I'm a caring, patient, and dependable person who enjoys supporting caregivers and their children--as well as creating a positive environment where people feel safe and comfortable. I'm currently working as a behavioral technician, a role that aligns with my interest in helping children learn, grow, and develop new skills.

I also have experience as a Resident Assistant at Oregon State University, where I expanded upon my skills in strong communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills while supporting residents with different needs and navigating a variety of situations. From that experience, I took away the importance of being attentive and prepared.

I understand how important it is to find someone you can trust with your children, and I would strive to create a safe, supportive, and fun environment where they feel comfortable being themselves. I'd love to connect with families looking for someone reliable, compassionate, and adaptable.
