A little bit about me

HI! My name is Rabakkuk Edwards(my first name is pronounced Rah-Buh-kuh, but I go by Rab for short).

I am a college sophomore at Bernard M. Baruch College studying accountancy and I have a bit of experience in childcare. I am coherent when it comes to my job and I enjoy what I do. As I am in college I am looking for a part time baby sitting/childcare position. I understand the need for affordable and accessible childcare, so I don’t mind being accommodating according to you and your child’s needs. Caring for multiple children is perfectly fine with me and I’m happy to work around fluctuating schedules! :)

I am also open to a housekeeping position as well which would involve maintaining living spaces and ensuring that the space is adequate for living comfortably.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

Since the late months of 2025, I've watched children for family and family friends from the ages of 3 years old to 10+years, so I am looking to make childcare more professional as of now. I've worked with children with special needs and children who need special care and I am open to accommodating the needs of parents/guardians and children.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

It's important that children remain educated, so some activities I enjoy doing with children involve going to museums, zoos, and also the park. In these spaces children are able to ask important questions and learn from the experiences that are provided.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important part about being a nanny is the impact it leaves on the children and the guardians/parents. Being an example for the children that I watch and being as flexible as I can for the parents/guardians.

My experience with special needs children...

I've cared for a special needs family member multiple times throughout my life and doing so hasn't just been a job for me, it's been a part of my life. I still look after this family member on occasions, so I know how important caring for a child with special needs is.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite moment during childcare is straightforward. The moment was when I taught the three year old that I was watching how to do a peace sign and a thumbs up. Whenever he saw me, he would do a thumbs up and I thought it was so adorable.
