More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have cared for children of all ages (5 months to 10+), as well as, children within several demographics and cultures. My most recent experience has been with two families; these are the families I assist while studying at SEU. They both have two children ages 6 months and 3.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Honestly, it depends on the child's preference and needs. But, I love reading books, going for walk or to the park, playing with toys, baking, getting creative with arts and crafts, building forts, and of course, so much more.
In general, as long as it meets the needs of the child and the family, I enjoy being both active with planned (or on-the-spot) activities, as well as, exploring outside.

The most important part about being a nanny...
Being flexible for the family and adjusting to the needs and likes of each child. To not just watch or babysit, but to really invest in each child. They should want to spend time with you because they know you are not just "kind to them," but that you really care.
In summary, to be sincere, present, and fun (kids love fun!).

My experience with special needs children...
In 2015, I worked with a young girl who had cerebral palsy. In addition, I have worked with three children over the years who were hyperactive. Lastly, I have worked with children in situations of both stress and trauma; these include families who have suffered extreme loss, as well as, missionary families struggling overseas.
When children live within these circumstances, I have learned that is important to:
1. Validate the child. Their experiences are their own and they are always valid.
2. Discover what a child loves or is inclined towards. For example, what is it that calms them and soothes them? Do they need to sing, build, draw, kick a ball, dance, and so on?
3. Provide structure.
4. Strive to have patience, grace, and understanding.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moments as a nanny have to do with being international. It was the moments where we could laugh and communicate even beyond the language barriers.
Some of these moments included making silly faces and chicken sounds as we fed the chickens, the simplicity of watching the kids tie a string to the boat and lead it "down the stream," or baking and decorating cookies to bless mom.

Full-Time Nanny Available in Titusville, FL: Kelsie M.
Hello! I'm Kelsie.
I am a fun, loving, and upbeat nanny who enjoys working with kids. I have experience with children of all ages, from infants to teens. I've worked with kids with Autism, ADHD, and various behavioral issues. I have potty-trained many toddlers and sleep-trained multiple babies. My experience includes working in daycares, a therapeutic school, and nannying/nanny shares for the last 8 years.
Working with kids is truly my passion! Helping them grow and learn is the most rewarding work I've ever done. I incorporate play into learning, and those "light bulb" moments when a child grasps a new concept are my favorite. Some of my favorite activities include art, storytime, and sensory play. I work closely with my nanny families and go the extra mile to ensure that all needs are met for the children, the household, and the family. I am a responsible and reliable nanny with a solid track record.
I look forward to meeting your family!
