I am the oldest of six children, the last three are triplets. I have loads of experience with babies and children! It's a balance of routines and spontaneity that keeps children happy.

The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important thing about being a nanny is to teach children to explore their environment to ask questions, and to be curious about the world around them. You're not their parent, but do you are their leader and you have to know their limits and you have to shepherd them them in at certain times. It's important that even when you're having fun, you have to keep an eye on time and keep everything under a semi structured schedule as far as homework,play time preparing for dinner, getting them in the tub getting them in their Jammie's with plenty of time to read before bed.

The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is when all the kids I was watching wanted to go get some candy at the candy barrel and I suggested we stop to play at the park across the street and they didn't wanted to go. They wanted to go back to their videos, and I said well let's just stop and see the ocean and get out and stretch your legs, of course once they saw the playground, once they saw the playground on the beach, They ended up staying at the playground and playing, and I got to get them off their computers, and that was such a happy moment for all of us. Kids are still kids!
