A little bit about me

Hi there, my name is Raelynn. I first began working with children in a Montessori preschool about 15 years ago. I loved my time in the classroom and knew I wanted to continue working with kids! Since my time at the preschool, I have enjoyed being a babysitter and nanny for several families, leading a summer camp for 4 years, and most recently working as an elementary school counselor for the past 5 years. I have 13 and 7 year old daughters and just recently had our third in early June. I am looking to return to nannying this fall, and I am hoping to find a great family or two to connect with.

I have worked with nearly all developmental ages and stages, the bulk of my experience being with birth through 10 years old. I have lots of experience coordinating schedules and driving to/from activities if needed. I can provide homework help & support learning, and I am happy to help with light household cleaning as well. I look forward to hearing from you and learning more about your family!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

The types of activities I often do with the children I nanny include playing at parks, visiting libraries, hiking & exploring outdoors, swimming, reading, listening to music, taking picnics, developing language and math skills, playing games, learning sign language, engaging in imaginative play, gardening, making lots of crafts/art, and visiting the zoo & nearby museums.

I enjoy learning about what types of activities appeal to each child’s unique interests and letting them lead/choose activities, as well as introducing them to fun new things to do. I try to balance a combination of providing consistency in a routine and schedule, while also keeping things fresh and fun with new adventures.
