I have worked as a Program Director in social services, teaching people with mental illnesses how to live independently in society. I have taught them how to advocate for themselves with their doctors in the medical community, how to pay bills, how to grocery shop, how to open a bank account etc. I trained a staff of 20 case workers, job specialists and substance abuse counselors how to communicate respectfully, how to de escalate violence, in mediation and conflict resolution.
I volunteered as a big sister in the Big Brother/Big Sister program and started a Big Brother/ Big Sister Division in Brooklyn, NY.

I also tutored children Math and English, from 3rd grade to 10th grade.

I love playing board games, educational games, taking children to the library to learn and I love all sports and all outdoor activities with children.

I have worked as a caregiver for a 20 year old with physical disabilities. I bathed her, cooked nutritional meals, administered medications, took her to the library, to the bookstores and other outdoor activities. I was her companion/ counselor and supported her through with her emotional needs
