More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

My relevant childcare experience includes volunteering and overseeing age groups ranging from newborns to elementary-aged children at my church for the past two years. I also worked as a summer camp counselor for children and teens ages 5–17. In addition, I’m an aunt of five and have helped care for and babysit my nieces and nephews since they were born.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to go to the park. I think theres something at the park for every age group. I love to be outside. The pool, a small hike, a sweet treat, I am there. I also love an inside day, watching movies, cooking, a video game (I'm not that good). Honestly, I am pretty adjustable and it depends on what that specific kid likes to do.

The most important part about being a nanny...

One funny memory I have was with a group of 8-9 year old girls I was watching. They started talking about how old their parents were, then one looked at me and asked how old I was. I told her to guess, and she confidently said “14.” When I told her to try again, she immediately guessed “32.” I was only 19.

One sweet memory was while serving in the nursery at church. A newborn wouldn’t stop crying, and after everyone tried to calm him down, I offered to help. I realized he was just tired, took him to the mothers’ room, and he fell asleep almost instantly. I thought it was adorable because honestly, sometimes I get like that too.
