A little bit about me

I am the oldest of 5 girls, with lots of cousins too! Growing up I did a lot of babysitting and by the time I was a teenager was nannying on top of school and work. I’ve always loved working with kids and continued it after high school, working in daycares and behavioral therapy. I have experience working with kids with special needs and never have a problem with a bit of extra rambunctiousness or even ‘wild child’ behavior. My goal in childcare is to simply create a safe space for the child where they know they can simply be themselves and have fun. A smile on a kids face and watching them grow into themselves is the most rewarding part of working with kids. I also am trying to simply bring back the humanity in a world full of screens, I’m a big believer in encouraging the weird and creative in life and letting children be themselves.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve worked at two daycares, and was a behavioral technician for a year working one on one with children with autism. Outside of professional experience I’ve also done years of babysitting and nannying.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

If the weather permits it I always try to get kids outside either to a park or just on a nature walk for an adventure! Indoors I love to do all sorts of arts and crafts, different projects, maybe some fort-building! (I’m an excellent cardboard contractor)

My experience with special needs children...

I worked for a year as a behavioral technician working directly with children with autism and in high school I also did volunteer hours in the special needs classrooms as an assistant teacher.
