A little bit about me

Hi, I am Raye Cotto. I love to care for people from a month old to one hundred years old. I have two children, a boy and a girl that are fully grown now. My son is 28 and my daughter is 22. My daughter had special needs (acute epilepsy) and she is the reason that I became a SAM/WFM until she went to started college. She is now a senior at the University of Houston. I love to clean and cook and I have been serving Chicago, San Diego, Los Angeles, Austin, Houston, Denver, Colorado, Las Vegas, Nevada, Frankfurt Germany, to name a few since 2004. Raye's Mommy Approved Meals and Raye's Home Care Services are my businesses. My cleaning services stem from scouring and organizing the interior house to lawn manicuring (mowing, raking leaves, edging/trimming, tree/bush trimming, shoveling snow.) I'm from Chicago, Illinois and now I am living in Los Angeles, California.
I am available as a live in Nanny or one that visits daily. I am at your disposal and I look forward to serving you!❤️

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’ve been a school classroom volunteer, playground volunteer, lunchroom volunteer, field trip chaperone, and recreation coordinator at my children’s preschool, grade school, high school, and college since 2002.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love playing at the park. Albeit my children are grown I still go to the park to work out (monkey bar pull ups, upside down leg lifts, etc.) I also like to play tag, go bike riding and tossing the football around.

The most important part about being a nanny...

The most important thing about being a nanny is that you MUST LOVE CHILDREN! I Love Children! I wanted children since I was 8 years old and I used to pretend to be a mother when I got my 1st doll, Christina on October 31, 1983. She’ll will be 43 next month. Yes, I still have her. So when I became a mother in 1998 I thanked God for my blessing. My home stayed full of children stemming from nieces/nephews to my children’s friends. From birthday parties, to sleepovers, dance contests, video games for the boys, Raye’s “Scary Monster” for the boys, barbecues, Raye’s personal French pedicures for the girls, to homemade breakfast(pancakes, eggs, veggie sausage), cleaning their clothes, to Raye’s drop-off service so that the parents can rest assured their children will be safely returned to them without having to do laundry. I love children, mine and every one else’s. I love to play with them, help them with their homework, cook for them, and clean for them.❤️

My experience with special needs children...

My daughter suffered from acute epilepsy for several years of her life. Every episode required a 48 hour visit to the hospital. For that reason, I become a SAM and a school volunteer (Pre-School, High School and U of H/ her college.)

The most important part about being a nanny...

It was in San Diego with The Ramirez Family. Playing “Monster” and chasing them around the yard. There’s nothing more uplifting than the sound of a child’s laughter.—I played this with my children and if I’m being honest I still do. Unfortunately, I believe I am having more fun pretending that they are still little and find me scary.😂
