I did a summer camp at the Beverley Arts center. That was a lot of art, fun and kids smiling. One of my favorite past experiences.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy going on walks, playing at the park, creating our own outside adventures with children. I also like to go to the library and read new books about all types of different things. I am a huge bookworm. Inside I enjoy doing arts and crafts, playing games, puzzles, and cooking. I am not a fan of TV and electronics. Kinda old-school.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Is the personal relationships and bonds you build with the families and children. I have raised 4 kids and I love helping families out with their children. It take a village and community and I am all for it.
My experience with special needs children...
One of my past jobs as a behavioral therapist gave me the opportunity to work with children who have autism, ADHD and other related "exceptionalities". I don't like the word disorder. Children are born just they way they should be. We can learn So much from differently abled adults and children.
