Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I've worked with two girls 13+. 3 girls ages 5-10, and a little 4-year-old boy with special needs most recently. I Nannied them multiple times a week, and learned multitudes about childcare and parenting.
I pride myself by investing my soul into these children and try to help them understand how valued they are. With the little boy, I spent some time alone with him once and he was one of the smartest, most capable little children I had ever met, only he couldn't communicate well. I firmly believe that he his a special and smart individual that just needs someone to take the time to understand him. This can also be said with any child, but I'm very grateful for that little boy teaching me this lesson.
