Hi, I'm Riley! I've worked with kids pretty much all my life, growing up with a big family I learned how to care for infants and up. I'm currently helping a family member take care of her 3 kids, that are 4, 5 and 8 one being special needs. I have come to find out that kids warm up to me fairly quickly and we have a fun time together! I'm looking to branch out to help other families due to the interest in pursuing a career working with children!

Even though I haven't professionally worked with children, I've had the opportunity to learn through family experience by caring for younger siblings and cousins when the chance arises. Iv'e always given my attention 110% to the children I am in care of, I think that my biggest qualifying strength is that I have had the opportunity to express my responsibility of being honored with the trust of someone else's child. Along the way, I've discovered that the environment of which children and babies alike are in are important to their health, happiness and development, that's why I would like to help provide making their development the best that I can along side you and your family!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I really enjoy going outside on a sunny day and going to the park or even going in the backyard and kicking around a ball! On the more cloudy days (which are quite frequent in Oregon) I like to keep kids occupied with activities like arts and crafts, reading books, playing games, just really anything to prevent them from being glued to a screen all day

My experience with special needs children...

I've cared for my younger cousin who is 8 and she has Autism and Tourettes. Doing that has proved difficult but at the same time so rewarding, working with her has made me realize that I want to pursue a career in helping children with special needs. I as well worked with my peers in school who had the same disabilities. I was praised by my teacher who said that I have a true gift with this work. I would love the chance to gain more experience and knowledge to help my progress to my dream!!

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment is when the sweet little 4 year old I was caring for just snuggled up with me on the chair and gave me a big old hug. Those moments are the ones I cherish the most because it reassures me that I'm being a positive influence and doing the best that I can.
