A little bit about me

Hello! My name is Riley and I am an outgoing, young & driven individual. I recently completed college as a student athlete (soccer) and earned a Bachelor’s degree in Biology. I adore children and being a caregiver has always come natural to me. From a young age (14), I have always watched the neighborhood kids and have enjoyed my time being with and caring for children. In my experience, I have completed tasks such as: after school pick up, preparing healthy snacks, helping with homework & getting ready for after school activities, preparing dinner & household upkeep. In cases with younger children, I have experience making/giving bottles, changing diapers, teething & putting down for naps and night time. I like to plan activities that will keep kids active and creative, especially trying to lower screen time. Some activities I would plan: exercise (sports, bike rides, walks, play ground), baking, cleaning (it can be fun!), arts & crafts & games that reinforce life & school lessons.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

During my time in college, I worked as a Youth Soccer Coach for Soccer Shots Franchise. Here, I coached children ages 2-10. This role included planning & implementing activities for sessions that were based on age & performance ability of the children. This was one of my favorite jobs as it incorporated a few passions of mine: exercise, sports & childcare. I loved watching the children develop their skills and get so excited about a sport I love!

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love to bake and exercise! These are two things I like to incorporate into my time with the children. Keeping them active keeps them away from screens and releases good energy. And I mean what child doesn't love cookies!

Caring for all of the needs of the child, mental and physical, and making sure the child feels loved and supported.
