A little bit about me

I have been a professional nanny for 12+ years. I live in Apex. For the last 10 months (almost the entire pandemic) I have been taking care of a sweet newborn boy and an energetic 3-year-old girl. I am leaving my current job because the needs of my nanny family have changed. I really love the opportunity to invest time in a child’s life. I am very patient with children, treat them with respect, and love helping them learn. I keep things fun through play, arts, crafts, (and more!) recognizing achievements along the way. I speak English and Spanish fluently and I can teach children Spanish as needed and desired. I am punctual, committed, easy-going, artistic, affectionate, and caring.
I am CPR/First Aid certified, a non-smoker with a clean driving record. I don’t mind pets. I'm practicing social distancing and following government guidelines related to Covid19. I will be available to work starting May 10.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I have worked as a children's ministry leader at my local church. I worked with directors and staff to develop lesson plans and special events for children. I also recruited and trained volunteers and paid staff to care for children and follow church procedures.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love keeping kids engage and active. I enjoy painting, coloring, and anything craft-related! I also enjoy playing games, reading books, singing, organizing the playroom, and just anything to engage children in learning and fun. When the weather is nice I love going for walks or to the nearby park for some fun exploration.

The most important part about being a nanny...

I view my nanny job as a partnership. The most important aspect is making sure that I have a good working relationship and communication with parents. I like to touch base on a daily basis to receive important instructions as well as to pass along any relevant updates to parents. Maintaining good communication helps build trust and ensures children receive the attentive care they need!

The most important part about being a nanny...

I have so many nanny moments! Children just have a way of making me laugh and feel happy. With one boy, it made my day every time we sang "Boodie and the Beast"! Another fun memory was the wagon rides with the twins. They loved to sing along the nursery rhyme "row row your boat". When we got to "if you see a crocodile don't forget to scream" both girls went crazy. It was adorable!
