Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Indoors, I usually like watching cartoon movies or educational videos with kids (videos that talk about stuff like shapes, colors, numbers, alphabet, etc.). I also like getting the kids to name stuff like animals, shapes, and colors, so they're not only watching TV or playing with toys and so they can also learn or practice a little something. Drawing can be pretty fun too. Outdoors I like to play tag with the kids or maybe just have them run around for a bit, so they run a little out of energy 😂
The most important part about being a nanny...
I think the most important part about being a baby-sitter is making sure the child feels safe with you and that they know that you are somebody they can trust and that cares about them. Making sure he’s having fun for the most part and that he’s enjoying his day-to-day.
My experience with special needs children...
I would help my sister take care of a boy she used to babysit that had down syndrome. I would sometimes babysit him myself.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One day I was babysitting my nephew. He was crawling and playing with his toys, then he just kind of got up out of nowhere, he gave maybe a step or two and he looked a little scared or maybe worried but he pretty much walked. It made me really happy to see how smart he was.
