More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My experience working with children goes beyond my five years as a nanny. Before moving to the United States, I lived in Italy, where I worked as a teacher. This experience gave me a strong foundation in child development, education, patience, and understanding the individual needs of children. As a teacher, I learned the importance of creating a positive, supportive, and encouraging environment where children can learn, grow, and feel confident. Combined with my experience as a nanny and raising my own children, including my son with special needs, I have developed a deep understanding of the care, attention, and compassion every child deserves. Working with children has always been a passion of mine, and I take great pride in making a positive difference in their lives.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy engaging children in a variety of fun, creative, and educational activities that encourage their curiosity, imagination, and development. With my background in education, I love incorporating learning into everyday experiences through reading, storytelling, arts and crafts, music, dancing, and imaginative play. I also enjoy spending time outdoors, taking nature walks, visiting parks and libraries, and exploring new places and experiences.I believe children learn best when they are having fun, so I strive to create activities that are both enjoyable and enriching. I especially love encouraging creativity, independence, and self-expression while tailoring activities to each child's age, interests, and developmental need
The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe the most important part of being a nanny is creating a safe, loving, and nurturing environment where children feel happy, comfortable, and cared for. Being a nanny is so much more than simply watching children; it’s about building trust, showing patience, providing emotional support, and helping them grow into confident and kind individuals. I believe every child deserves to feel loved, understood, and encouraged. It is also very important to me to build a strong relationship with the parents, as communication and trust are essential. I treat every child I care for as if they were my own, and my goal is to become someone the entire family can always depend on.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience with children with special needs is both personal and meaningful to me. As a mother of a son with Asperger’s syndrome, I have firsthand experience understanding the importance of patience, compassion, consistency, and individualized care. Raising my son has taught me that every child is unique and deserves to feel loved, supported, and understood. I understand that some children may need extra attention, reassurance, or a different approach to communication and everyday activities. I have learned to adapt to individual needs while creating a safe, positive, and encouraging environment. I have a special place in my heart for children with special needs, and I would be more than happy to provide the same love, patience, and dedication to any child in my care.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite moments as a nanny has been watching the children I’ve cared for grow and reach new milestones over the years. From their first steps and first words to watching their personalities blossom, every little moment has been special to me. What means the most is knowing that I have become more than just their nanny, but someone they trust, love, and feel safe with. The hugs, laughter, and excitement when they see me are memories I will always cherish. Being able to make a positive difference in a child’s life while becoming part of their family is truly the most rewarding part of being a nanny.
