A little bit about me

I’m an energetic soon-to-be college graduate (B.A. in English) who loves learning with and from kids! I have a great sense of humor and don’t mind light cooking and housework tasks. I started working with kids in a church nursery as a tween, then coached ages 4-18 on a swim team and tutoring grammar and math around my neighborhood. As a high schooler and college student, I started sitting for families with up to five kids aged 4 through 11. Safety, fun, and development are all very important to me, and I can supervise activities, help with homeschooling and homework, and teach new skills. I love pets of all kinds, too, and grew up with birds, hampsters, cats, and lizards. In my free time, I like to play musical instruments (piano, saxophone, and I’m learning guitar), read, and learn new recipes for food and skincare. First Aid and CPR training. Safe Sitter Certified since 2013.

Babysitter Available in Charlottesville, VA: Teah D.

Hello! My name is Teah Draper. I’m a third year at UVA studying digital marketing. I have vast experience in child care and early childhood development. Other than off handed babysitting jobs, I worked in a Montessori school primary classroom throughout my teenage years and attended a Montessori school through elementary school. Lots of my philosophy and approach to childcare is derived from my time in the Montessori environment. Another key part of who I am is the time I’ve spent abroad in Europe-where I got to work with children in a completely different culture and setting. During this time, [phone number hidden], I worked with children 3 and under on learning English through music. I’ve become a huge advocate for music in everyday curriculum because of that time. I have lots of availability and I’d love to schedule a time to meet and introduce myself in person!
