Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I looked after a neighbor's child from when I was 12 and cared for him until he was 10. I watched a family friend's child from when I was 17 when he was an infant until he was 13 almost on a daily basis until he was 5 and randomly until he was 13. I had watch of my sister's daughter from when she was born until my sister had her twins are her oldest daughter turned 5. I taught catholic education for 10 to 15 fourth graders for 7 and a half years.

Playing games, coming up with craft ideas, and helping them be creative in some way.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Love for the child you are taking care of. It's important they know they are loved, even if they are not behaving very well, they should always know they are loved. Discipline is important, but when given with kindness, the response can be better than just telling the child they are wrong.

I have two nephews who are autistic.

My neighbor's son and I used to go on trips, and one summer, we went to a lake and he had his cousins there. I had him and three other little ones grab on to me because I was able to stand and touch the ground and they couldn't. They could all swim, but they surrounded me and all held onto my arms to stay above the water. It is one of my favorite moments with him and his family.
