Being a nanny is more than watching over children. It’s helping them learn and grow and assisting them along the way. It’s making sure they know they are cared for, loved and appreciated. It’s getting up and having fun while staying healthy and safe. It’s creating a safe space for them. It’s loving them as you would your own.

Let me start off by saying that I have a few nicknames! I go by Rosey, Rose or Setta. A few days before Father’s Day, I assisted the sweet, loving boy that I was caring for hand-make his father a Father's Day card. I encouraged him to write about all the fun things he and his dad do together and how special it was to have a day dedicated to dads. He was ecstatic. He grabbed all his markers and got right to work. When he was done with his finishing touches, he jogged over to me and proudly handed me the card which read, “Happy Father’s Day. You are the best dad in the world. I am happy that it is Father’s Day and I am happy that Setta is taking us to the park today.” To say I was touched would be an understatement.
