I was an active 4-H member throughout middle school and highschool, as well as a volunteer for two years during college. I worked with kids from the ages of 3 to 15 in a variety of environments. Beyond this, I have volunteered at several summer camps as well as being employed at one this past summer.

I believe that the most important part of being a nanny is meeting a child and family where they are at and adapting to each individual need. There is no one way to care for a child, and learning how to work with every individual family is imperative.
My experience with special needs children...
While my professional experience is limited, I have both personal and academic experience with special needs children. One of my biggest focuses in college was children with severe behavioral problems such as ODD and ADHD. I have no problem working with children who have been labeled difficult or aggressive, and I can absolutely adapt a variety of activity to any ability and need.
