My experience with special needs children...
I have no one on one experience with Special needs children unfortunately. However, as a camp counselor I have encountered a number of kids who were on the spectrum and they were all treated fairly and indifferently.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite manny moment is being a camp counselor surrounded by hundreds of kids and having a nickname that was special to each group of kids. In 5 weeks, I acquired 10 different names from kids because of the relationship we had built and they wanted my nickname to reflect that relationship. Another one of my top 5 moments was being referred to as a "girl's girl" by one of my 11 year olds. I feel that as a man, having young girls ranged ages 6-15 feel so comfortable around you is truly a blessing and a reflection of the person you are and vibe that you display.
