Well in many different ways.. I have 3 siblings and between us, 10 grandkids for mom total and the funny part they were all boys, no girls lol. I had a friend for personal reasons couldnt care for her daughter at the time so I stepped right in to help. Here's the thing about that, I didn't want to take over I wanted to help her so "WE" took care of her until my friend was well enough to do so herself. As for multiple children yes 10 at one time. Whew! No daycares tho
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Coloring, painting, walks to the park or walk the dog. I'm an outdoors person unless it's really hot so we swim, arts n craft, swimming of applicuble.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Values and morals and welfare of course that goes without saying. I'm 53, and I can promise you that when the street lights come on, be home or go wash your hands before dinner, is what my mommy always said!
My experience with special needs children...
I have a retarded brother from birth practically. My mother had german measles while pregnant. So patience n understanding is the key.
The most important part about being a nanny...
I was a stay at home mom so I cooked alot . Well one Saturday morning while I was making breakfast, which was a little of everything from eggs to french toast and even mini doughnuts from biscuits and my boys presented a small note to me. In the note it read, " To mom, we love you so much because when you cook for us and our friends you make enough good food for an army!" Too funny yet sweet and cute too! That's one of the best thank you and I love you mom I've ever received.
