Hi! My name is Ryan I am a 15 year old student in high school looking to be a part time nanny on weekends. I currently do not have a background in being paid for working however I have babysat for others in the past. I have babysat children ages 0-10+ and I’m especially good with special needs children due to being surrounded by them my entire life. I am good at communication, time management, organization, and of course I’m very well with kids. I speak a smidge bit of Spanish as well and have all high honor roll and AP honor grades.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I’m currently a Counselor in Training at a local day center working with children ages 1 to 12 and in the past have babysat for family and friends with toddlers and infants.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

For indoor activities I enjoy doing arts and crafts with the kids along with helping with homework (especially reading and writing), playing music, board games, and of course watching a movie. The camp I work out now is outdoors meaning I do a lot of activities such as sports, dancing, swimming, etc outside.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Being able to understand a child’s needs and wants while also keeping them safe, healthy, and cared for. It is also important to create a bond with the child and help them (and their parents) in any way possible.

My experience with special needs children...

I have been surrounded by children with special needs my entire life due to personal reasons (I will elaborate if needed) and have always been able to communicate and understand their needs and wants in a way that is more personal than others. I have worked with children with Autism, Down Syndrome, Anxiety, Depression, Schizophrenia, etc. plenty of times and consider myself to be well experienced with children with special needs.

The most important part about being a nanny...

My favorite nanny moment was definitely when two younger girls around ages 3 and 5 who resembled myself and a co worker in looks played dress up and pretended to be my co worker and I! It was very adorable and made me realize how much I enjoy working with kids.
