Going to the park, museums, reading to the children, playing dress up, watching movies, teaching them basic educational skills.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny is of course the safety and well being of the children. It is important to pour into their lives and have teachable moments. Creating a safe space to do so is also important in an upbringing of a child. Being patient and kind goes a long way. Being a nanny to me means going above and beyond for the children and that is something I love to do.
My experience with special needs children...
I have family members who have special needs and as a care taker for them I know how crucial their every day routine is. I am also aware that due to a routine there are moments of learning in which special needs children adapt to and can progress.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite moment of child caring is doing arts and crafts together. I babysat one little girl named Aria. She is very smart and witty. We made slime together from one of her science subscription kits. She was so happy that someone wanted to take part in her project with her. She kept the slime in a jar labeled with our names on it and said “I will keep this as a decoration in my room because we worked on it together” it was such a sentimental moment for the both of us.
