More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have worked in the childcare setting as am assistant teacher at a preschool in Denver before Covid hit. Though I don't have any professional nanny job as of yet, I do have two kids of my own, one is 7 years old (my son), and the other, my daughter is 3! I also have two step-children whom I have cared for since they were 7 and 8 and are now 18 and 19 years old! I also used to watch the neighbors kids when they were about 7-10 years old. I am pediatric/child first aid certified (Child and Baby First Aid/CPR/AED) through the American Red Cross.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
Hiking, swimming, drawing, painting, reading, writing, dancing, cool-science stuff like building robots and making slime, cooking, playing all of the fun imagination games that kids love (the floor is lava, hide and seek, tag, etc.)...hey, what can I say? I love them just as much as the kids do.
The most important part about being a nanny...
Being able to bring support to families in need is incredibly important as is. But being a kind, and caring supportive person for the family is even more important. It's really true when they say, "It takes a village." It's nice to know your "village" is reliable and kind, and knows what they're doing and can establish a great connection with the family.
My experience with special needs children...
I have not cared professionally for special needs children but am more than open to being a positive aide for them. I am also pediatric/child first aid certified (Child and Baby First Aid/CPR/AED) through the American Red Cross.
The most important part about being a nanny...
When my kiddo learns something new and laughs while doing it. It means he's enjoying learning, which I think is important!
