One of my favorite moments from working at the daycare was how the children would greet me every morning. As soon as I walked through the door, I’d hear little voices shouting, “Hi, Ms. Salimah!” and see them running toward me with big smiles and open arms. Their excitement was genuine and contagious, it made me feel so appreciated and reminded me how much of a positive impact I had on their day. Knowing they looked forward to seeing me was one of the most rewarding parts of the job.
