I really do believe it takes a village to raise a child. I find it such a privilege to pay witness to, and support, such an amazing time in their lives. I make sure to communicate effectively with the parents so that we can all do our job as effectively as possible. I want the parents to be able to do their thing, and the kids to do theirs!

I babysat for a family in which the younger child was too little to attend Mamma Mia on Broadway with her older sister. The two girls and I made up a song and dance choreography to one of the songs to make the younger feel a part of her sister's experience, and it was so fun and adorable. I love using my own energy and enthusiasm to get kids on board with any fun and silly activity.
