I taught in a preschool for a year. I have also taught swim lessons for about 5 years, 2 of which were year round. I have also spent 2 years teaching children with disabilities how to swim.
My experience with special needs children...
I have had experience with ADHD, a large variety of autism, Down syndrome, and many other needs that I do not remember the names of. I have taught children with disabilities swim lessons for a couple years and usually I show up and find out what their disability is moments before working with them. It has taught me to be quick to adapt and how to communicate in a variety of ways.
