A little bit about me

With 4 years of camp experience as a counselor and dance Specialist - teaching ballet, jazz, yoga - 2 years across different countries as a nanny, and a passion for working with kids with special needs from an early age and throughout most of my academic career, I have always felt very lucky to be able to to meet and connect with families while training/studying for my career in physical/nutritional therapy in the hopes of operating a holistic recovery centre to foster care for youth/adults with special needs and mental illnesses/addiction. I think that my patience and genuine interest/understanding creates a strong bond, and my high energy from 18 years of ballet/modern dance and a background in theatre means I'm just as excited to run around the park and play as the kids are. My favourite memories though have always been taking the children of the families I've worked with to the museum for the first time - I love sparking new interest as well as hearing their own stories from what they've learned in school in an applied setting.
