My name is Samantha (Sam) Strah, I’m from Capitola, CA a small town on the coast where I spent my free time training as a junior lifeguard. I have five siblings: three older brothers, an older sister, and a younger sister. I played beach volleyball for the National Team for 5 years as well as for the Cal Poly team where we won Big West Championships and got a bid to the NCAA Championships both years. I have volunteered to help in school for those with special needs since I was in 3rd grade. I also have cared for my little sister when my parents have been busy. For two years I babysat for two boys adopted from Sacramento and Africa. We spent a lot of time together doing homework, playing sports, and other fun activities. They would have their teammates over after games and I would watch all the boys while the parents got to chat. I have also babysat on multiple occasions for two toddlers, feeding and changing them as well as keeping a smile on their face.
