I have babysat for many children of all ages since I was 14 years old. I also have worked in my churches nursery for 2 1/2 years along with a day care here in Lubbock.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I enjoy going outside with kids, maybe to a near by park so they can play. I love taking kiddos to the science spectrum and jump houses, mainly just anything fun outside the house. I know that being inside all day can be boring so I like to take them out for fun so they can run around and let out some energy.
The most important part about being a nanny...
The most important part of being a nanny to me is to keep the kids safe at all times and make sure that they are having fun no matter what we are doing. I plan to keep a close eye on every child and make them feel loved and happy until it is time for mommy and daddy to come back home.
My experience with special needs children...
I have experience with children with autism, I was a nanny for the sweetest 6 year old boy with autism not to long ago. I felt so privileged to be a huge part of his special life and became not just his nanny but his favorite person.
The most important part about being a nanny...
My favorite nanny moment is when I show up to the house and the kids run and give me hugs and are just so excited to see me. I want nothing more than for them to feel safe and comfortable with me, so that feeling when they are excited for me to be there and okay with mom and dad leaving is my favorite part about being a nanny.
