A little bit about me

Hi, my name is Sammi, I'm 24! I just graduated from NYU with my masters in social work this spring. I have babysat for a number of families with children ranging from newborns to 12-year-olds. I babysat for a family with 5 children, ages 5-8. I tutored children with special needs (ADHD, dyslexia, and receptive-expressive language disability) and assisted with math concepts. I worked at an intensive social skills camp for children with social difficulties, ASD, ADHD, and anxiety disorders. There I attended rigorous training workshops on behavioral intervention methods. I led social skills lessons alongside a social education teacher and designed and implemented individualized behavior plans tracking behavioral and social progress for 4-6-year-olds. The past two years I have worked as a nanny for a 2-year-old boy, focusing on potty training and learning basics such as colors. I am looking for a part-time job while I apply for full-time social work positions at special education schools.
