We built a really strong bond — she would try to talk to me even though she rarely communicates with others, and she trusted me enough to let me do her hair, even though she’s very tender‑headed and usually hates it. Even though I don’t babysit her anymore, her mom still reaches out whenever she wants me to come do her hair.
