"Sara was such a wonderful nanny to have!
She was punctual, communicative, and always willing to jump in to whatever was needed. She was wonderful with my 1 year old son and would make up fun games to play with him! He was always excited to see her and laughing when I returned home. She followed closely to his routines, such as bedtime and nap time.
Sara also did light house work - such as dishes , organizing and putting away his toys, and cleaning up the house. I always return to a tidy home (huge bonus!).
Most of all, Sara was kind and a light in our home! She always brought lots of energy and enthusiasm, even when she was tired!"

Ms. Sara is a very personable and cares about all children that are under her care, as well as parents and staff at Haymarket Children's Academy. She also understands the importance of all job descriptions within the company. I highly recommend her for the nanny position she is applying to.

More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
I have over three years of childcare experience working with children from infancy through age 11 in both classroom and private-home settings. As a full-time Teacher’s Assistant at Haymarket Children’s Academy, I supported classrooms of children ages 0–6 by assisting with educational activities, reading, individualized support, conflict resolution, mealtime routines, personal care, and maintaining a safe and positive learning environment.
My private nanny experience includes caring for a one-year-old, a 10-year-old child with autism, and three siblings ages 8–11. My responsibilities have included school and daycare transportation, meal and snack preparation, diaper changes, bathing and bedtime routines, homework and tutoring assistance, light housekeeping, and engaging children in age-appropriate activities such as reading, sensory play, arts and crafts, puzzles, outdoor activities, and exercise.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I believe one of the most important responsibilities of being a nanny is being a positive role model. Children learn from the people around them, so I strive to lead by example through kindness, patience, respect, and good judgment. I also believe in working alongside parents to reinforce their values, expectations, and routines while creating a safe and trusting environment where the child feels comfortable, supported, and encouraged to grow.
My experience with special needs children...
My experience caring for children with special needs includes both classroom and private nanny settings. While working at Haymarket Children’s Academy, I had the opportunity to care for two young children on the autism spectrum, including a three-year-old and a one-year-old. I later provided full-time, one-on-one care for a 10-year-old child with autism while working with the Redden family. These experiences strengthened my ability to provide patient, attentive, and individualized care while adapting to each child’s unique needs, routines, communication style, and comfort level. I supported daily routines, transitions, educational and developmental activities, and emotional well-being while creating a safe, structured, and encouraging environment.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite aspects of being a nanny is building genuine connections with children and creating an environment where they feel safe, heard, and supported. I find it incredibly rewarding to watch their confidence grow, help them learn new things, celebrate their accomplishments, and be someone they can trust and look up to. For me, childcare is more than caregiving it’s about making a positive impact while helping children feel valued, encouraged, and cared for.

I’m a responsible, friendly, and patient person who genuinely enjoys being around kids. I like keeping children entertained through games, crafts, outdoor activities, or helping with homework, while also making sure they feel safe and comfortable. I’m dependable, organized, and able to stay calm in different situations. Spending time with my younger brother has helped me become more patient and understanding, but I also enjoy getting to know each child’s personality and making sure they have fun. I’m someone parents can count on to be reliable, communicate well, and care for their children with kindness and attention.
