Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
While I seem young, I have worked with children since I was 17 years old. I have babysat for consistent families since then, and still do to this day! I worked at a local summer camp and worked my way up to being a program coordinator while still being hands on within the day to day basis of the camp. While attending university, I worked at a boys & girls club for 3 years where I worked primarily in a fourth grade classroom. I have had multiple field experience hours done from kindergarten to 2nd grade. I have also worked as a substitute teacher and typically took job postings within the preschool to fourth grade range. However, feel confident working with all ages! Additionally, I have spent the last 2 years working as a preschool teacher!
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love taking advantage of outside play! Chalk, water play tables, going to the park are all in my wheelhouse!
My experience with special needs children...
I have some experience in working with special needs children. I have a younger cousin who is on the spectrum and have babysat for my family since he was an infant. Additionally, I have worked substitute job positions within classrooms with students and feel confident that with support from the family, I can get the job done with the utmost care!
