When I lived in Nicaragua, I was a volunteer for a ministry that was responsible more than anything to help low-income families, I was part of the group that took care of the children, there we fed them, we taught them to read / write, we played so that they had a little fun.
Cuando vivía en Nicaragua, fui voluntaria de un ministerio que se encargaba más que todo en ayudar a las familias de bajos recursos, forme parte del grupo que se encargaba de los niños, ahí les dábamos de comer, les ensañábamos a leer/ escribir, jugábamos para que se que divirtieran un poco.

One of my experiences, I was working with a family that had a 2-year-old girl, mom wanted her to learn words in Spanish, and one of the days I arrived, she greeted me with the news that the girl was saying the numbers in Spanish and said Mom and Dad. It was really exciting to know that the girl was learning.
