A little bit about me

I’ve been a nanny for 11+ years and live in Brooklyn, NY. I have excellent references, my passport is valid, I’m a strong swimmer and a confident driver. I have a B.S. in Environmental Education and I am infant/child CPR AED first aid certified.

I have extensive knowledge of and experience with infants and children through the age of 10. I create a fun and engaging but safe environment to foster age appropriate development and exploration. I believe it is important to get out into the world and learn how to be a positive, conscientious member of society. I put an emphasis on exploring local playgrounds/parks, playgroups, classes and events but make sure home is fun too.

I have years of household management experience on top of childcare and I believe it's my job to make sure you have nothing to worry about when you get home besides spending time with your children. I'll help with meals, laundry, groceries, tidying and do what needs to be done to keep a busy household running.

More About Me

Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...

I was a teacher for a short while, did babysitting and worked in preschools, day cares and camps.

Activities I enjoy doing with children...

I love getting out and about with my kiddos. We go to playgrounds, museums, classes, events and play dates as well. When we’re at home I like to do arts and crafts and science projects, baking, board games, legos just to name a few. I also believe there is value in learning to play by yourself and will encourage that when appropriate.

The most important part about being a nanny...

There’s 2 most important things. Safety and compassion. Whether it’s at a park, walking down the sidewalk, driving or swimming safety should be the first priority. Compassion as well because let’s be honest, kids can be frustrating at times and if you can’t find your empathy and compassion than it’s easy to say something you might regret later on.

My experience with special needs children...

I have quite a lot of special needs experience with a variety of age groups and am confident in my abilities. I have worked closely with children with attention disorders, Autism, Angelman Syndrome and Down syndrome.

The most important part about being a nanny...

Too many to choose just one but I truly love watching kids learn about something new that excites them. The way their face just beams and they can’t contain their enthusiasm is so adorable to me.
