More About Me
Relevant experience where I also cared for children were...
My most extensive babysitting experiences have been multi-day overnight stays for several families with multiple children spanning elementary through high school. For one family of four children, I served as the primary caregiver for over a week on two separate occasions—preparing every meal, managing the household, and driving kids to their various activities. I've had similar roles with two other large families, stepping in as a full household manager while parents traveled. I also cared for infants during their night routines my freshman year of college. Beyond babysitting, I completed an internship at a community behavioral health center where I co-facilitated twice-weekly evening classes for children in kinship family placements, teaching emotional regulation and coping skills. I also worked as a College Access Advisor at a high school, and most recently finished a graduate school field placement as a school social worker at a K–8 school in Brookline, MA.
Activities I enjoy doing with children...
I love keeping kids active, creative, and present. Crafts, outdoor play, and cooking together are some of my go-to activities. I'm intentional about limiting screen time and focusing on hands-on, imaginative play. One of my favorites is slime — I actually kept my own collection that I'd bring along, and it became a neighborhood thing where kids from next door would come over to trade and play. I find that activities kids can do together naturally build connection, and I love finding whatever that spark is for each child.
The most important part about being a nanny...
To me, the most important thing is being someone children can genuinely trust and feel safe with. That means being consistent, attentive, and present—not just physically, but emotionally. Children notice everything, and when they feel truly seen and secure, they thrive. I also believe deeply in honoring the routines and values a family has established. My role is to be a steady, caring presence that supports the whole family, not just to fill hours.
My experience with special needs children...
I have meaningful experience supporting children with disabilities, complex emotional needs, and behavioral challenges. During my undergraduate internship at a community behavioral health center, I worked directly with young children in a kinship care program—many of whom had experienced trauma related to a parent's addiction or mental health struggles. I co-facilitated a twice-weekly group teaching the 7 C's of addiction and emotional regulation skills, helping kids understand that their family's situation was not their fault. In my role as a College Access Advisor, I also worked with a number of students with special needs and disabilities. My graduate coursework in social work has further deepened my trauma-informed approach and ability to meet each child where they are.
The most important part about being a nanny...
One of my favorite memories is from an afternoon with a family I regularly babysat for—we had pulled out all the slime, the neighbor kids had wandered over, and suddenly the whole backyard had turned into this little trading floor of different textures and colors. Nobody was on a screen. Everyone was laughing. That kind of spontaneous, joyful connection is what I love most about working with kids—you don't always plan the best moments, you just create the space for them to happen.

Hello!
I recently moved to Boston from Nashville, TN where I was teaching 8th grade English for the last three years. Before that, I spent high school and college working at after school care programs (preK-8) and summer camps (preK-K). I would love to find a family to work for as I take time to find a school that is the best fit for me.
