I spent a year as a Para Educator in a center based program for children in the 2nd-5th grade. Growing up I loved to hang out with the little neighborhood kids and baby sit them.

I would say the most important part is making sure a child is learning and having fun but is also being safe and knowing right from wrong. And also learning from their mistakes so they can grow from them.

The most important part about being a nanny...
I have never been a nanny but was a para I loved seeing the excitement in the face of the child when they remembered something that they normally struggled with or seeing them play and seeing how creative they are. I love seeing that they can be so happy even when facing challenges that other kids might not know or understand. But I also love seeing how other kids in the genED class get so happy for the kids and realize for themselves that everyone is different
